Our objective is to bring movement and collaborative communication to the community.
Our Jam Sessions are inclusive, improvisational movement sessions designed for people of all ages, backgrounds and experiences to explore movement.
These sessions are guided by the Artistic Directors and company members starting with a simple warm-up, followed by anatomical and imagery-driven prompts. Movers are encouraged to explore their natural style of movement and own bodies. These sessions serve as a safe space for people to gain self-awareness, build connections with others, and experiment. These sessions are free of charge or donation-based, and sometimes accompanied with live musicians.
Our Movement Studies are experimental, inclusive, improvisational movement sessions guided by the Artistic Directors, Anya and Mitsuko. They start with anatomical and imagery-driven prompts to center and warm-up the dancers. They transition into encouraging variations on the conceptual themes. Students are encouraged to explore their natural style of movement within the framework. These sessions serve as a safe space for people to gain self-awareness, build connections with others, and experiment as creators.
